Wind Loads
Below is an informational chart representing Wind Speeds and the resulting loads that accompany them. 3DFurler is more than capable of handling Luff Loads far exceeding this chart. The question is are you ready to handle high sheet loads?
From a study of 1226 Sailboat Injuries, 22% were a result of “caught in lines”. Sheet load is directly proportional to High Wind loading.
Note that the force is 4 times when the wind is doubled. Knowing when and how much to Furl (Reef) your sails is critical to safety.
