Three parts. All of them interlock around the stay.
Top, mid and bottom components clamp around your existing forestay. Sails lift on self-contained halyards, so the ship's jib halyard never enters the furling path.

How it stacks
Tack to masthead, one foil at a time.
At the head
6" FirstFoil
The top assembly slides over the stay and the FirstFoil feeds into the Docking Channel. Halyard and sail tension are taken at both ends, so nothing loads the ship's rig.
Up the luff
12" reversible foils
Reversible, so there is no wrong way round, and each one slides up below the last. Add up to 50 feet of foils. Twelve-inch sections give torsional strength far beyond the natural forces of wind, and no cutting is needed to fit your stay.
At the drum
6" last foil, locked into the clamp
The last foil locks into the clamp on the drum so the whole stack turns together. Six inches of axial vertical stabilization keep it true, and the halyard channel runs the line clear of the foil. No raceways, no bearings to seize or crystallize.

Short profiles make 3DFurler practical for winterizing, trailered sailboats and dinghies. Full specifications
Modern polymers like ASA outperform aluminum and PVC in UV resistance, impact strength, and long-term durability.
Polymer furlers are lighter, corrosion-proof, shock-resistant, and easier to maintain. Modular foils improve serviceability, and external halyard systems eliminate halyard wrap.
Combined with modern 3D-printed manufacturing, polymer furlers offer better performance, lower weight, and higher reliability for small-boat sailors.
They solve the problems traditional systems never could.
